EMILY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
A little church with a big heart.
Located in Emily, MN we are a small and loving congregation. Sunday Worship is at 8:30 AM.
Our building is an updated traditional white church with a bright red door. Warm pews, friendly people and sunshine streaming through our windows offer a welcoming and cozy feeling. Our worship is casual, yet traditional. We connect to God and each other through prayer and conversation.
Many of our members joined our community once retiring to our beautiful area. Whether you find yourself living in or visiting the area, we would love to meet you. Our fellowship area is spacious and our building is also wheelchair accessible.
We have a big heart for missions. We believe if everyone does just a little bit, we can make BIG difference in our community and world.
We support the Laos Mission Initiative by supporting two missionaries, training for pastors, planting churches, and empowering women and youth across Laos.
Since 2006, we have raised over $11,000 for Heifer International. These donations support individuals in developing counties by purchasing animals and providing training for women.
We collect a monthly "noisy offering" supporting Mobility Worldwide which provides hand-cranked carts to people across more than 100 counties. These greatly increase mobility for folks in villages where wheelchairs are not available or usable due to the terrain. These carts have also helped people begin small mobile businesses, which has allowed greater independence and the ability to educate children and support their families. Through these simple offerings of loose change, our church has purchased 2 carts each year! In total, we have been able to raise funds for nearly 50 carts!
We also support our local food shelf, community garden, laundromat, and care center, among other mission efforts.
